Was silent as grave
I Tried to scream, I couldnโ€™t
They stole my voice

Thank you for reading, your thoughts are always welcome ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. I never tried writing Haiku because I never understood the rules. The one I read was more complicated than 5-7-5 act. But if if it’s a first attempt. You captured that gut-wrenching truth that there’s no such thing a free speech. Often it isn’t easy to come out and say the truth. Great haiku Hug โค

    • Thank you Jess for the kind words ๐Ÿ˜Š happy you loved it ๐Ÿ˜Š just fixed it a bit so the syllabus can fit the 5-7-5 rule but the words were written before and maybe next time I wonโ€™t fix it, I will break the rule a bit
Appreciate your encouragement so much โค๏ธ

  2. Really well done! We get asked to do these all the time at school (beautiful nature themed) so this is a nice change and I absolutely love it!

  3. I donโ€™t quite understand what Haiku is… but your words touched my heart and soul…That’s what matters to meโค๏ธ
I am so grateful to youโค๏ธ

    • Thank you dear ๐Ÿ˜Š donโ€™t know if itโ€™s a real Haiku after all but the matter that you loved it I guess ๐Ÿ˜Š thank you for the lovely words โค๏ธ

  4. Yay you did it =) โค I was so happy to see the ping on wordpress when I logged in ๐Ÿ˜€ I was not expecting you to post it this fast, this proves you’re not lazy as I am “hides face in shame”
You did wonderfully my dear, I absolutely love it โค it is so powerful like I told you the haiku is just 3 lines but damn they can be so wonderfully powerful just like you did in this post. I read it and I pictured a woman oppressed in our society and maybe abused by her husband or family or the second scenario an oppressed citizen in a dictatorship country. Well done, well done dear, this is very deep โค yalla will be waiting for more haiku from you ๐Ÿ˜€
And thank you so much for all the kind words and love you showed for my blog, you beautiful soul โค

    • Thank you Nadine for the lovely words ๐Ÿ˜Š so glad you loved it! Told you I have many sentences already written I just fixed the syllabus a bit ๐Ÿ˜Š
Well I just said the truth and nope Iโ€™m not lazy most of the times actually (it depends I guess)
Glad you could picture many stories from these few words, appreciate the support and kindness as well โค๏ธ
      Have a great day โค๏ธ

  5. Hi Huguette๐Ÿ˜‰ Sunday kept me too busy. I just had time to read your Haiku. Short but biting truth, Women who tries to voice out in society is been muted. You are indeed a Haiku maker.I dont know the rules too๐Ÿ˜œ But This one is too goodโœจ๐Ÿ‘ŒWell Writtenโœ๏ธ Have a great Week ๐Ÿค—โœจ

    • Thank you Simon and hope you enjoyed the weekend despite the busy Sunday ๐Ÿ˜Š
Well I didn’t know the rules as well, it just needs to be 5-7-5 syllabus so I did some changes and seems it worked ๐Ÿ˜
Glad you liked it and appreciate your time to read and interact ๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. I have seen so many writing Haiku but I never understood what is it. There are rules?
So powerful words! We are living in a world were most of the people have the right to express themselves but still some cannot or they are not allowed. ๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ

    • well as someone explained, must be 3 lines, 5-7-5 syllabus , 1st line 5 syllabus, second 7, and 3rd 5 ๐Ÿ™‚ so I tried to fix the syllabus of something I already wrote ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad you loved it ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• give it a try ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Oh thank you for the explanation! Now I think I don’t understand the meaning of syllabus ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I must go and study the English language ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
        However, I loved it ๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ

      • Oh I’m sorry it’s syllables and not Syllabus hahha and I also used google:
“A syllable is a part of a word that contains a single vowel sound and that is pronounced as a unit. So, for example, ‘book’ has one syllable, and ‘reading’ has two syllables. ”
I’m not perfect in English either, so thanks God for Google hahaha
        Thank you dear ๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ

      • Oh ok, I got it ๐Ÿ™‚ thank you ๐Ÿ™‚
Oh my, but is very difficult ๐Ÿ™‚ but for you nothing is difficult when is writing ๐Ÿ™‚
        ๐Ÿค—โค๏ธ

  7. Haiku is really interesting, isn’t it? It tests the ability to out your feelings and emotions in a structure. I have tried it as well, didn’t work out well maybe I will try a little more ๐Ÿ˜‚ Yours is great thoughโค๏ธ๐Ÿค—

    • Thank you dear and glad you liked it ๐Ÿ˜Š yes interesting indeed!
Sure you will write many Haรฏkus, just needs some time I guess to adjust it as per the rules
Thank you so much for your time ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ
