The English Translation (I did my best actually):

 Your nearness is my agony!

After nights of bitter longing where I see your face everywhere
After hours of prayer to see you and be close to you
Here you are next to me
But I dare not look at you!
This is not my right!
Iโ€™m so scared and the fear is killing me
And the flame in my heart is burning me
I am afraid that my looks will expose me and my eyes will betray me
You may be near me, but I ignore you, Iโ€™m forced to!
This is the torment, this is what tortures me!
The longing in your absence has become a game but in your presence itโ€™s a curse!
In your absence it burns the heart, but in your presence it snatches it out of its roots and tears it up!
The soul is at its last gasp and the eyes wish they never saw the light, to see you!

Thank you for reading! Have a good week ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. I open WordPress because I can’t sleep and what is the best thing that greets me, your post!! โค๏ธ
I don’t know Arabic but it looks so beautiful. My best friend can write in Arabic and it’s looks musical to be honest.
About your writing, I think I am not the right person to say because this is mature and spot on. I could feel the lines and the agony, and like the rare times, this agony and this pain is beautiful. I love this poem and I will mark this so I can read it later too ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’–

    • I’m sorry that you can’t sleep and there’s no happy post to cheer you up ๐Ÿ™„ Not the perfect post before sleeping haha but appreciate your kind words and I also wish you understand Arabic because the Arabic version is certainly way better! ๐Ÿ˜Šโค Thank you for reading and for wanting to read this again ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

      • I always am fascinated by languages and I wish to learn new languages too. Maybe I could learn to atleast read Arabic .. it would be a new thing to do. It the language difficult?
And this is a perfect post, maynot be cheerful but I love it๐Ÿ˜Š

      • oh well every language is difficult when we don’t know it, but once we do, it becomes familiar, they say Arabic is so difficult but I can’t say that because it’s my mother tongue ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you Ramyani! Appreciate your support always and hope you will learn to read Arabic ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Yes I agree with you. It’s my greatest regret in life that I am not really good in writing in my mother tongue because I haven’t studied that in school ๐Ÿ™ But I will be good in it now, after school, I will it properly. And I hope I will learn Arabic too one day ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ

      • You still have a life time to learn so donโ€™t regret at all! Our mother language is actually obligatory here, except probably some international schools
I hope you will master your mother language and you will learn Arabic ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

    • Thank you Nour! Yes it doesn’t and I’m not a professional translator either so I just did my best but I know it’s not good enough…
      Appreciate your interaction ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

      • Ah wait I didn’t mean that! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Ah, me and my big mouth. I meant that the translation was actually really really good, but yknow how the differences in languages really matter and how the beauty of the language just cannot be translated? That’s what I meant. My bad ๐Ÿ˜‚

      • Actually no offense was taken at all! English is my third language not even the second and many words in Arabic are really different when translated, I kept changing some words until they were a bit close and I didnโ€™t like the result anyway ๐Ÿ™„
So Fhemt 3laykee ktir mni7 actually donโ€™t worry
Bass itโ€™s good you thought I misunderstood so I see you back because you comment and disappear ๐Ÿค“ you cut the conversation ye3ni haha
Have a great day Nour ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Oh lord ๐Ÿ˜‚ I just don’t know what to reply yknow? It’d be stupid writing random words ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I like the comment to tell you that I did read it, but I didn’t have any further commenting ๐Ÿ˜‚ oops

      • Iโ€™m like putting my heart in the reply and then where is Nour?? ๐Ÿง๐Ÿงdisappeared in strange circumstances ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Oh no, donโ€™t say anything please !! Hahaha you donโ€™t have to ๐Ÿ˜

  2. Whenever I look at Arabic language, I feel like it’s the language of gods. I don’t know why ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ but it just looks so beautiful. The poem feels deep, especially on a rainy night ๐Ÿ’™

    • Thank you Sid for this metaphor regarding the Arabic language ๐Ÿ˜ itโ€™s original that you see it this way! ู„ุบุฉ ุงู„ุขู„ู‡ุฉ this is language of gods in Arabic ๐Ÿ˜
Thank you for reading and appreciating ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. WOW! I don’t know how you were able to NOT ONLY translate the work, but make it flow and RHYME the way you did! Oh the agony. I know this feeling. It is so hard. Beautiful work, Huguette. I love this line: “In your absence it burns the heart, but in your presence it snatches it out of its roots and tears it up!” Conveys so much raw emotion, longing and aching.

    • Thank you dear Elizabeth ๐Ÿ˜ŠIโ€™m humbled really but I know the translation doesnโ€™t do actually but did my best and your words mean a lot ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธ
This one is short, will see if Iโ€™ll be able to translate the longer ones
So glad you loved it ๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿกโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Looking forward to reading more! ๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿกโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿกโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿกโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Thank you Sonia ๐Ÿ˜Š appreciate your kind words! I even didnโ€™t give the Arabic words their proper right but better than nothing
      Glad you loved it โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. U did the Best translation. If it were an audio i would close my eyes and enjoy the feel of it. Why not? I did while reading as i usually do, A short film on my mind, it felt so REAL . Such a lovely poem, Both Love and the suffering portrayed so good in words…โœจโœ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Œ Luckily i havent read the original one. den Im sure i have to google for meaning. โ˜บ๏ธ

    • Thank you Simon for reading and for the audio idea ๐Ÿ˜Š wish I had a good voice but will consider making someone record an audio so it feels more like a film! Appreciate your deep interaction and glad you could feel the words ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป actually google will not be accurate this is why I didnโ€™t count on google and did the translation line by line
Thank you Simon ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Š have a great day

    • Thank you dear ๐Ÿ˜Š I wish that too! The Arabic is more meaningful and deeper and thank you for the kind words! I did my best actually , so glad you loved it ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. why why !!! It heartbreaking ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I guess sometimes is good to confesse our love to the person our heart chooses even if it’s one side love , we should have enough courage to face our feelings , holding them become an agony exactly as this poem shows !!! It is so beautiful and sad at the same time โ™ฅ
thank you for sharing lovely Huguette โ™ฅ have a pleasant day my dear :-*

    • Well donโ€™t worry it has been written long time ago and itโ€™s much complicated than youโ€™re describing ๐Ÿ˜Œ hope it was that easy
Anyway you read the Arabic or the English one?
Appreciate your kind words dear Souad and have a great day as well โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Started with Arabic and seriously , it was so strong and heart touching โ™ฅlike each word literally goes straight to the heart , I just couldn’t finish the English version !!!

      • The Arabic is the most important ๐Ÿ˜Š sorry you couldnโ€™t finish it, itโ€™s not that bad Iโ€™m alive ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

  6. This is so good Huguette! Thanks for beautifully translating it for us. Lovely portrayal of complex emotions. Absolutely loved it.

    • Good morning Ribana and hope you’re having a great day ๐Ÿ˜Š Thank you for reading and for the lovely comment, oh well life is not perfect hahaa most Arabic writings I will share will be so sad, but nowadays I can’t even write these kind of feelings, I don’t feel anymore luckily ๐Ÿ˜€ โค

  7. You know, I sometimes wish to be able to read writing a language with foreign alphabets like Chinese, Japanese, Arabic because they’re so decorative and pleasing in the eyes haha ๐Ÿ˜€

The poem blew me off from the title alone, but the context glued me on the spot. Oh, the pain! ๐Ÿ’˜ The gentle, melancholic words that torment my heart… I love how it hurts.

  8. Oh goodness! I have never ever read something so profound and deep๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ณ
I am spellbound. Speechless all the other synonyms. I wish I knew how to read Arabic adds to the bucket list. I love the way they described the pain of loving someone silently. That helplessness you experience when the person is around you.
Goodness. I wish to write like that someday.
    Thanks for sharing it!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•
Have a great day ahead ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Thank you so much dear Gauri! I’m so humbled by your words! Especially that your writings are all profound and deep so I’m just an amateur here I guess ๐Ÿ˜Š
I wish you can understand the Arabic as well and hope you’ll be able to! Yes it’s exactly hoe it feels and most of my Arabic writings were written in minutes and without editing….
You write more beautifully, be sure of that ๐Ÿ˜Š and hope you’ll never experience painful feelings, because we write so deeply because we feel so deeply…
Appreciate your time and the appreciation words! Sorry was a stressful day and I couldn’t even look at the screen…Hope you’ll be having a good day tomorrow and good night now โค

      • Aww! My pleasure ๐Ÿค— No! C’mon. I can’t even tell you about the number of times your content inspired mine. I don’t believe that art can be categorised or structured. You are awesome ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’•
Yeah! I am totally planning to learn it. It is such a beautiful language.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Wow! Seriously!!๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ณ Goodness. I can’t even imagine to produce such a master piece in just a few minutes.๐Ÿ˜… And, “no editing” doesn’t even exist in my dictionary.๐Ÿ˜‚
Awww! Thank you so much dear huguette ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’• Yeah! As much as I like the way my writing style has evolved over time, but I am also mindful of the fact that my blog profile is a reflection of my heart. I am in pain, I am still trying to gather courage to share my entire story. I decided to take a baby step with the bullying one๐Ÿ˜Š
The pleasure is all mine! Trust me, I love to read your posts๐Ÿ˜Š
I understand! All of us have our bad days and you don’t have to apologise at all๐Ÿค—
Hope everything’s fine and that the stress vanishes away as soon as possible ๐Ÿ’•
I know this is out of context, but today I had the best day of my life ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Have a great day ahead ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

      • I’m a freak control dear Gauri, probably the reason of the structure and categorizing hahaha ๐Ÿ˜ I’m so humbled to be source of inspiration, it makes me want to stick around and not leaving this blog community!
Well when you feel them to this extent, the words flow and no editing is needed at all! A series of Arabic writings that I wrote in certain circumstances, were written in minutes mainly and without editing, I felt I will die if I didn’t write them actually, then for years I didn’t write a word…
Baby steps are the only steps needed, big ones are scary actually in certain circumstances!
Oh Great! SO happy for you and it’s never out of context being happy or expressing happiness ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ So hope the upcoming days will be even better ๐Ÿ˜Š Checking the other comments popping now hahaha

      • Haha! I understand ๐Ÿ˜
C’mon. Absolutely! We want more of your savagery in our feed๐Ÿค—
Very true! Sometimes, the art creates itself and the artist is just the source. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Lovely! I am sure they would have been amazing.๐Ÿ’• I can relate. Sometimes, it’s just too much of a command to put an idea on paper ๐Ÿ˜‚
Yeah! I wish to reach my goal through these baby steps. I don’t know why,but I feel like sharing my story ๐Ÿ˜Š
Aww! Thank you so much ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•
Yeah! Totally looking forward to more happy days ๐Ÿ˜Š
Haha! Well! This time I am making you wait for centuries for the replies ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

      • Yes you’re making me wait and guess what? I hate waiting!!! I can leave if someone was late and I won’t blink hahah, totally me ๐Ÿ˜€
are you masochistic? because you love my savagery ๐Ÿ˜‚
I’m translating some of these writings and will publish them progressively and hopefully you will manage to write this story ๐Ÿ˜Š
hope your days are being happy and relaxing ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

      • Haha!๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… I promise, no more delays henceforth. I am officially done with my project ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜„
๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ No! I am not a masochist๐Ÿ˜‚ I just love the way you call people out for being an a**hole at the platform.๐Ÿ˜ค
Wow! I will be waiting for those posts๐Ÿค—
Yeah! I hope to gather the courage soon๐Ÿ˜Š
Yeah. The last few days have been great. I hope that you are having a lovely time too๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

      • This is great, more time for blogging ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
Oh yes Iโ€™m too old for this shit, I only say what I want and do it my way ๐Ÿ˜Ž
So will see you I guess more often if I will stick around and will read your beautiful and deep content ๐Ÿ˜Š

Have a great day ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

      • You’re a useless case Gauri :/ But take some break from blogging that will be okay and just come back when you have time, I guess it’s better from keep apologizing right? ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž sorry to hear that things are not well and appreciate the kind words as always โค hope the weekend will be good โค
