Random Thoughts – Fake Society

I look at everything: the ads, the pictures, the quotes, the social media…
And all I see is perfect people, rich people, fancy clothes and fancy restaurants!
Perfect places, perfect friends,
All are beautiful, all are happy
I mean where the ordinary people are??
The people that look like us the people that actually do exist?
Beauty is nice, perfection is good to the eye but reality is what I need to see Ordinary people with ordinary clothes and ordinary life
A life so far from perfection, a real life…
The one we are struggling through it daily….

Through all the created ads, commercials and announcements, you are stating that only perfect people have the right to live!
By perfect I mean the appearances, the luxury life and the perfect relationships…
This is the only message I got unfortunately
I just feel like an intruder dropped randomly in this world!

Thank you for reading, please share your thoughts πŸ™‚

  1. Seriously, where are “we” ?
I mean all the ideals, advertisements and commercials give an utopian vision following which is like a peer pressure to get “perfection.” Its absolutely nuisance. If everything were to be perfect, then why would we have commercials to “make our lives easier?” If everything were set right, like bang on, why do we preach about and keep fluctuating between different goods and services?
I think even perfection cannot be faked for long. Its momentary and one shows his or her “true colours” at one point or the other which aren’t so perfect (moreover ideal) but atleast human and acceptable. Claiming a perfect life has gigantic pores shouting the silent truth of it being false.

  2. Absolutely right. You know I go to London 3 or 4 times a year and there seems to be so many fake, materialistic people in that city. The β€˜Beautiful β€˜ people are on every corner, rushing from A too B as fast as humanly possible, in designer suits and top of the range dresses, barging into everyone without any sort of apology or even a glance. I hate how fake some people are. I’m a people watcher and enjoy sitting peacefully with a coffee watching all of these fakers scurrying around with their phones to there ears trying to make it big in their own little world. Thank gawd for real people. 😊😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

    • Thank you John for reading and for the thoughtful comment! πŸ™‚ Oh well I know what you mean and if you’re observing people, you’ll be so entertained! Especially in such place like London! Thanks God for real indeed, even if they are so few πŸ˜€ You’re lucky no emojis on this PC hahaah I will let you win πŸ˜€

  3. I agree, I feel there’s an increasing pressure to project a “perfect” facade which will only make you feel more and more empty and disillusioned inwardly. For me, nothing can take the place of authenticity and I’m naturally drawn to people who are genuine and authentic. I can tell you’re passionate about this too!

  4. I feel like an intruder as well. I, for one, brag proudly of me being not perfect. I see a lot of people giving me looks, and I stare back, wondering what they see in me that they don’t see in themselves. It’s a weird world

    • Thank you dear Nour for reading and for being real as well πŸ™‚ People have certain standards they follow and everything is encouraging this! We are whom we are and people opinions don’t matter! At least this is what we must reach eventually

  5. Huguette? Happiness cant be faked at least in my case, i’m always trying to stay positive and to be happy with what i got and to spread positivityβ€οΈπŸ€—

    • Everything can be fake dear Ilona, glad your case is different, bravo c’est genial πŸ™‚ Thank you for reading and for your interaction β€οΈπŸ€—

      • I cant really imagine it, i have seen few perfect pictures on instagram yes pictures looks wonderful, but people do not shine from happiness on the picture, they look even cold a bit β€οΈπŸ’‹πŸ€—

      • All advertising show perfect and social media especially Instagram crave perfection…
of course people are free but we missed real and genuine
Thank you for the exchange β€οΈπŸ€—

      • Happy to read your post, going to read now about avengers end game, i finally saw itπŸ˜‚πŸ˜

      • You gave me idea for my new post social media vs realityπŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ€—πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

  6. Damn true. Social media acts like a facade to many people. Even I was caught up in this web. But thankfully, I think I’m fine now. I dunno.

  7. The rise of social media has increased even further the screens that make people project a different life from the one they actually live and there is no more space for real emotions and genuine thoughts. We can only contribute and go against the flow, not for anti-conformism, just to be coherent with our inner self. Have a good day!

    • Thank you for this thoughtful interaction! I agree we should go against the flow just for the sake of being real and coherent with our inner self πŸ‘πŸ‘
Have a great day as well πŸ™‚

  8. Very very true! As a society, we are addicted to fakeness, to perfection and to every other fancy tag. This addiction has taken control over the world, and now, we have stooped the levels of blurting out white lies to maintain our fake masks, that we wear online! I know people who literally shy away from talking to people in real life, get conscious, just because their real lives don’t resemble their facades online! We should all focus on being good human beings, rather than succumbing to this impractical and tragic race of perfection!
Thank you so much for putting this out there! A very meaningful article and a great post, as always! (●‿●)

    • Thank you dear Gauri and glad you can relate πŸ™‚ see for an example this comment can be a very good post! 😁
Appreciate this thoughtful interaction and hope people will be more genuine and real , good human beings as you said! We’re tired of chasing certain standards for everything!
Always glad to have you here πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

  9. Our whole society is running after fake perfection, the don’t appreciate imperfections & reality, they are living in a bubble where everything is so perfect and complete.. i am scared That when someone will pop the bubble what will happen than πŸ€”πŸ™„

    • Thank you for reading and for the meaningful interaction πŸ‘
So true actually and bubbles are popping on daily basis but still people are not learning, most of them at least! So hopefully we’ll have more authenticity and more real πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜Š

      • You’re always welcome … yeah i hope so 😊 our young generation is so confused that they are ending their lives just because they think the whole world is living a perfect life and they are the only one with not so luxurious life, they need to learn and embrace their imperfections

      • Yes another important subject πŸ‘ too bad really πŸ˜• I hope they will learn and hope we’ll have more good idols and examples for the youth!
        Have a great time 😊

  10. Oh dear , that’s so true , especially the appearance , on youtube , instagram ,social media , everywhere, it is just disturbing , when we see all that fake perfection we keep asking ourselves , why not me ? why do I not have this beautiful appearance , this money …etc and leads a lot of people to depression .
unfortunately this is how the world works nowadays, it’s sad !!! have a pleasant day pretty lady ❀

    • Thank you dear Souad for stopping by 😊hope you’re having a great week!
Exactly! This is creating lot of insecurities and problems πŸ˜• hopefully people will appreciate real and love themselves as they are πŸ™πŸ»
Have a great day my dearest 😊❀️

  11. Great post here Huguette! You are so right, everything is geared to this perfect look, lifestyle, whatever. And people get so caught up in it and can’t be real anymore. Social media certainly plays a huge part in this as everyone want to project how great everything is, but they don’t show the real side of life. That’s one reason I don’t like to get caught up in all these social media places. I like real people to interact with but it certainly is getting hard to find them. For so many all they have is a social media life, no real life anymore. Even in a small town like this it happens, people don’t want to talk or interact, they just point to their social media page whatever it is. Have a great day Huguette!πŸ˜ƒπŸŒž

    • Thank you Steve for reading and for sharing this valuable interaction 😊glad you can relate and social media has transformed the people to anti-socials actually πŸ˜• I have social media accounts but like you I care about real people and real interaction which is so hard to find!
Have a great day as well and always appreciate the exchange 😊😸

      • People and their social media sometimes lose sight of reality unfortunately. I asked this one guy if he would like to go out for coffee and he just said go to my facebook page, everything from the last week is there. Um, I meant get together and talk. Oh well, guess that’s getting to be the ‘real’ world now.πŸ˜•πŸ˜€

      • πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ OMG what an answer! Really now πŸ™„πŸ™„ it’s getting weirder and weirder each day!
Hope you’ll have a great day ahead 😊

  12. All that fame and fakeness does not even matters, we all have to die one day and we should keep this in mind. We should live our life as we want to, not as others want to live us.
Being fake, we are just wasting our precious time.

  13. I agree with you totally, Huguette. I have seen people fake smiles, fake their emotions just to show that they are happy. It’s not worth it. We are living in a world where we are obsessed about perfection. We want the perfect partner, now fairness creams rule the world as if dark people don’t have the right to live and of course the perfect life. It’s ridiculous how we go after that idealistic viewpoint. I love the point you make here and I love the quote by Paolo Coelho.

    • Thank you dear Ramyani for reading and so glad you can relate! As I said happy to see more real people here πŸ™‚ Oh well you mentioned the fairness cream and here people are obsessed with Solarium to have a sexy tan, seems nobody is satisfied with their lives! It’s too bad that some people are also committing suicide because they believe they’ll never be as perfect as the images they are making them believe they are true!
Appreciate your thoughtful comment as always ❀ 😊

      • Oh is it? Every society has their own obsessions I guess. I think the statistics would be horrifying about the rate of suicide in India because they are fat, or dark or ugly.. and perhaps over the world the factors would increase. It’s so hopeless. This world is so full of fake people that I rejoice when I find real ones now..☺️
Your post was really great as always..

      • Oh yes! Being white is a shame here hahah most girls and guys also spend their time laying on beaches like frogs to have the perfect tan and those who can afford do also Solarium so they can impress and attract πŸ™„πŸ™„
yes I can imagine! They convince people that if they are not perfect, life is not worthy! too bad really…
Thank you for the kind and encouraging words ❀ 😊

  14. Just a few days back I was discussing with my hubby regarding the so called “perfect life” and “perfect people” on social media and how much all these fake info are counting for the “ordinary” people…it is incredible that people can buy all this crap….it is incredible that “ordinary” people go into depression because of this, because of the “perfect life” of these “perfect” people….it’s amazing! I’m not sure around the world but here in Singapore 99% of the population is in front of their mobile phone 100% of their time scrolling social media….😱 I’m very curious what could happen in a day of total black-out, without mobile phones and without internet 🀣🀣

    • Exactly πŸ˜• show me ordinary people!! They are not only buying, they are dying because they think they are not perfect enough πŸ˜•πŸ˜•
Oh dear not only Singapore, the entire world ! I want sometimes to slap people and remove the mobiles from their hands πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ especially when they’re out with friends and each one on their mobile!!
Hope that day will come, I guess people will be so surprised with kids they didn’t notice they have or partnersπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ oups! 😝😝

  15. So true! I think that is why people are starting to look up to ‘genuine’ celebrities now, meaning celebrities that open up about their imperfections and struggles. We find them more relatable.

  16. So true! Everything we see online can be misleading and fake because the internet is full of fake things and it is very hard to judge what is real πŸ€” I wonder what’s the scene behind the mask. Are people really happy and perfect the way they like to project themselves?

  17. And that is the way of it…love your ‘real’ posts though and how you cut right to the chase and let the truth out…and even make it funny! When I am feeling down, I have to take a break from social media because it just makes it worse to keep seeing all these people with fake smiles when I know they aren’t happy in real life.

    • this society has gone rogue really! Hypocrisy and double standards and fake appearances, I have social media accounts, used to be active, now I barely open, nothing there really…So happy you loved the post, I actually love the truth even if it’s relative sometimes
Thank you for reading and for the lovely interaction πŸ€—β€

  18. Majority of human population is in the humdrum ordinary category. Glorifying only the extraordinary implies that the vast majority of people are worthless; that is what modern media sells and we buy it. Thanks for Paulo Coehlo’s quote, my favorite.

  19. That is so True, Paulo Cohelo’s words are so perfectβœ¨πŸ‘Œ Social media is the key influencer to put somone into fake perfection cage and people are so not interested in real stuff. As much likes on fake picture cannot be seen in a real picture, because its TRUE. It’s true like Saania said perfection cannot be faked for long. Loved paulo cohelos quote again “Perfect people… does not exist”βœ¨πŸ‘Œ

    • Thank you Simon for reading and for your kind interaction and the addition to this post 😊 It’s a sad the situation we live in and it’s getting worse I guess
Appreciate your time and words Simon 😊
